Aerials
Aerial services Brighton
Which Aerial is right for my location?
We find the best aerial for strong to moderate signal strength areas such as Brighton is the Log periodic (Left image), this aerial is unique with its arrow shaped design and its performance is probably the best out of all "Digital Aerials", if there ever was one!
Because its inherently wideband and has good immunity to impulse interference (that can be a problem with digital reception) it is probably the only real "Digital aerial" , ideally suited though in only strong to moderate signal strength areas.
High Gain Aerials
When a more stronger aerial is needed then there are a range of high gain aerials we can choose from, depending on the location we will choose the right strength aerial for your system, you can be sure that we have the right one on board for your area.
All of our High gain aerials are CAI benchmarked , this means that the Confederation of aerial industries have tested it for many requirements to ensure that its suitable for digital reception.
Only then does it get the badge of approval....
3 Aerials in 1 !
If you enjoy Radio and Tv then this just might be the aerial for you, we appreciate that it looks similar to a U.F.O but its performance certainly makes up for its looks.
Here are some points to consider with this aerial....
- Incorporates Digital TV, DAB and FM radio plus a built in amplifier.
- This aerial will save you installation costs due to everything being housed in one case.
- Its lightweight and small so the windload is far less than having 3 aerials on 1 pole.
- Can be used for mutiroom so each room can have TV and Radio from 1 aerial.
Please contact us for more information and cost for aerial installations.
Reception problems
If your have missing channels from your Freeview box or Tv then it would need investigating to see what the problem is, it could be that the signal for those channels is not strong enough or the quality of the signal or both, or it could be that you own a Freeview box or TV that has become corrupted.
Itv, Channel 4, & channel 5 missing on Freeview?
In Brighton it is common that ITV, CH4, CH5 and other channels of the same group (namely ITV2, E4, More 4 etc) are missing on Freeview, this is normally down to the Whitehawk transmitter interfering with some analogue transmitters like Patcham therefore the signal for these channels (MUX2) is held back until switchover.
We often find that when an amp or booster will not work to compensate this then a new aerial and cable will, the problem with amps or boosters is that they can make the signal quality worse by simply adding more noise to the signal when there isnt much good quality to start with, the quality needs to be good enough before introducing boosters etc.
Upon a visit we would test your system and let you know what needs doing, if you do need a new aerial and cable to get all the channels back then we would take a test to gaurantee this before any work is done.
In some areas it will not work period and we will then advise another platform like Freesat or Sky, please contact us for more info.
